To coordinate the use of financial systems and processes to ensure that the financial records of the organisation meet legal and regulatory requirements.

The job sits within Group Financial Services which is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the Group. This includes the provision of financial and management accounting services, financial analysis, preparation of annual budgets, treasury, tax and VAT management.

The job holder will ensure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity at all times.

This profile is not an exhaustive list of duties and other activities may need to be carried out requiring similar skill levels.

Key Account-abilities (All Account-abilities will be carried out in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations and legislation):

1. Coordinate the preparation of business information and the provision of advice for key customers and stakeholders to enable effective monitoring and to support decision making, business planning and effective financial management, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

2. Ensure the maintenance, accuracy and completeness of financial records and adherence to financial controls in order to ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met including effective management of all supporting processes.

3. Assist with the review, development, implementation and maintenance of monitoring systems to ensure a robust control environment is maintained to safeguard the organisations interests.

4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders, ensuring issues and shortfalls are addressed and remedied in order to ensure the delivery of high standards of customer care.

Support the recruitment, performance management and development of quality staff to ensure strong teams are built who can deliver in line with business needs and individual account-abilities.

5. Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group's objectives.
