Job description:
Our client is looking for Junior designer to join there vibrant dynamic team -

Company Background -

We are a team of talented and creative people who make awesome things (we're modest, too). We believe that with the right people (that's us) and enough fizzy drinks, anything is possible. We're a fast-growing forward thinking independent publishing agency with plans to take over the world (no, really).

WHO ARE YOU?
You're smart, you're driven, are full of ideas and have a creative flair. You're also kinda cool, and have a wicked sense of humour. You want to work in a fun environment with a dynamic team where everyone loves their job.

You should definitely be working for us then.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are currently looking for a junior designer to join our creative team and assist the Senior Designer across our titles, a national trade magazine for the fitness industry with a consumer feel, and a regional luxury lifestyle publication. A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop) is essential, and any experience in a print environment an advantage. You will have the opportunity to learn more and grow with the company.

Responsibilities:
As a junior designer, you will be expected to work alongside and report to the senior designer and group editor.
You will be working with the editorial and design team on a daily basis, and will also work with the sales team to create print ready advertising copy for our portfolio of clients.
You will be expected, on occasion, to speak to clients of all positions to gain feedback.
Your time will be split across all titles, and you will be expected to complete regular layouts to a consistently high level.
You will be responsible for completing all work to strict monthly deadlines to ensure a cohesive work flow.

Skills required:
You must have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign | Photoshop).
You must be a self-motivator, able to time manage and plan your work load effectively.
You must be organised and adaptable - publishing is an upbeat and fast paced industry, so the ability to work to your full potential is a must.
You must be able to take direction and develop your work from feedback, and constantly strive to improve.
You must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to communicate ideas to clients/team to ensure cohesive work flow. Some creative industry experience is an advantage.
You must be able to work well within a team but thrive on your own and use your own initiative to complete goals set.
From time-to-time a junior designer may need to work hours that aren't typical, so a flexible approach is needed to get the best from the job.
