Job description:
We are looking for temporary support for a referral and office administrator ideally to commence work next Monday 31st October for 30hrs per week. This post is likely to continue until the end of this calendar year however this post will not be fixed.

ROLE:

The Advocate will manage and provide a first-class telephone referral service for Total Voice Suffolk advocacy and other VoiceAbility services ensuring this is coordinated with the wider organisation's / partnership referral process and carrying out a range of related administrative duties to enhance processes and practice to deliver a high quality service.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Be the first point of contact for all enquiries and referrals to the service.

- Manage calls to the referral line during office hours.

- Provide information about our service and other appropriate services

- Keep accurate records of calls and cases

- Undertake any administrative duties required, including filing, faxing, photocopying, making and receiving telephone enquiries, diary management.



Essential SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

- Good level of numeracy and computer literacy.

- Experience in a role that requires effective communication skills both verbal and written.

- Experience of electronic databases and experience of an administrative support role.

- Ability to remain calm when dealing with challenging people and situations.

- Good communication skills to people wishing to access this service and stakeholders



DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

- Experience in the Charity or Statutory sector or in an equivalent customer-facing role in the private sector.

- Ability to manage a lot of data setting up, interrogating spreadsheets and / or databases.

- Advice, guidance and information qualification or equivalent experience.

- NVQ level 3 in health or social care or equivalent experience.

- Knowledge of advocacy principles.

- Knowledge of Safeguarding principles.

- IT skills to intermediate level of using Word, Excel and databases.

- A valid driving license.



They may have experience of the following: Referral Administrator, Charity, Third Sector, Administration, Office Assistant, Customer Services, Voluntary Sector, Customer Service etc.
Salary: 7.50 per hour
