Job description:
The Electrical Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all the electrical equipment at the Energy From Waste Plant, providing support to other disciplines as necessary using experience and skills.

* The Electrical Technician will assist in the co-ordination of contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

1 The Electrical Technician shall be responsible for carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient operation of the ERF plant

1 Ensures maintenance plans and targets are achieved safely, economically and within the environmental limits of the plant.

1 Works alongside other functions as necessary, assist with supervision of contractors.

1 Carry out fault diagnosis and rectify as required

1 Be pro-active and creative in problem solving and use initiative.

1 Conduct plant inspections and area safety inspections

1 Ensure that all reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System is effective and followed through to completion promptly.

1 Broaden experience by covering the Electrical Engineer's duties if required.

1 Ensure that all activities within the ERF plant are carried out in a safe manner in line with the Ardley's procedures.



1 Carry out risk assessments to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times.



1 Work as part of a team striving for continual improvement in minimising environmental Health & Safety risk at the ERF plant.



1 Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
